Conjunction atau konjungsi adalah kata yang digunakan untuk menghubungkan satuan bahasa (kata demi kata, frasa demi frasa, kalimat demi kalimat, dan sebagainya).
Macam-Macam Conjunction
Conjunction bahasa Inggris terdiri dari dua jenis, yaitu compound conjunctions dan complex conjunctions.
Compound Conjunctions
Compound conjunctions (konjungsi majemuk) adalah konjungsi yang menghubungkan fungsi yang sama atau setara dalam kalimat. Misalnya subject to subject, verb to verb, object to object, adverb to adverb, adjective to adjective, dan lain-lain.
Compound Conjunctions terbagi lagi menjadi dua macam, yaitu coordinate conjunction dan correlative conjunction. Berikut jenis-jenisnya.
Coordinate Conjunction (FANBOYS)

Correlative Conjunctions
Jenis yang kedua adalah correlative conjunctions, yakni konjungsi yang berupa pasangan kata.
- Both … and …
- Not only … but also …
- Either … or …
- Neither … nor …
Correlative conjunctions menggunakan pola kalimat berikut ini.

Contoh kalimat:
- Both the driver and the passager were injured in that last accident.
- Not only I but also she is studying mathematic.
- Either Mr. Andre or Ms. Wina is going to teach our English class today.
Complex Conjunctions
Complex conjunctions (konjungsi kompleks) adalah konjungsi yang menghubungkan klausa utama (main clause) dan klausa bawahan (subordinate clause). Gabungan kedua jenis klausa ini membentuk sebuah kalimat.
Complex conjunctions menggunakan pola kalimat sebagai berikut.
